I’ve been asking this question for the past eight years. Before and during that time, I would’ve told you
what I was—a designer, a husband, a father, or the collection of twelve letters in the upper left corner of this page. Today, I’m much more interested in
why I exist—the answer to which I've found only I can provide. It’s iterative and ever-evolving, but it’s primarily guided by three principles:
purpose,
intention, and
impact.
At my core, I believe my
purpose is to inquire, create, and share. I have a penchant for asking questions, solving puzzles, teasing order out of chaos, and sharing what I learn along the way.
I
intend to leave the world a little better than I found it for those close to me, those I’m getting to know, and those I’ve yet to meet. For
people, because
we’re all quite similar in the end.
Through thoughtful observation, inquiry, design, and implementation, I’ve found that I can leave a positive, lasting
impact on the people and places around me.
↳ The less philosophical version. 🙃
